Sweet iced lemon slices

Sweet frozen lemon slices are so easy to make. They are a great quick snack to enjoy during hot summer days. Energizing, refreshing and thirst-quenching.
Freshly frozen, you can enjoy them with cold drinks or at the end of a fish or meat-based meal.
I advise you to choose ripe lemons with yellow skin with a sweeter flavour.
Try them to believe it, one leads to another!


  • 3 ripe lemons untreated
  • granulated sugar to taste
  • Clean the lemons under running water.

  • Dry them with kitchen paper and cut them in half lengthwise.

  • Slice them to a thickness of approximately 5 mm. You will get half moons.

  • Prepare a plate with a layer of sugar and begin to dip each slice of lemon, covering all sides.

  • Place the slices in layers on a tray covered with baking paper. Before adding the second layer of lemons, add another sheet.

  • At this point place them in the freezer and let them freeze.

  • As soon as they have solidified, remove the tray from the freezer, arrange the slices in layers in a container with an airtight lid, always separating each layer with baking paper. They will be easier to peel off.

  • Place the container back in the freezer and serve as needed.

Serve them in a bowl full of ice cubes, they will stay fresh and beautiful to look at.
